Sci-Fi Visionary Ben Mauro Unveils Stunning New Trailer for ‘HUXLEY: The Oracle’

The wait is over for fans of the sprawling post-apocalyptic saga. Acclaimed concept artist Ben Mauro has officially released the trailer for HUXLEY: The Oracle, a cinematic prequel to his hit graphic novel that is now available to readers worldwide.

The new trailer for HUXLEY: The Oracle, the prequel to the post-apocalyptic graphic novel hit HUXLEY.

HUXLEY Graphic Novel

Following the massive success of the original HUXLEY digital comics and hardcover collection, Mauro—whose design credits include blockbuster hits like Halo Infinite, Elysium, and The Hobbit—is taking readers back to the origins of his scorched world. The Oracle serves as the first major prequel in the franchise, diving deep into the history of the desert planet Fury-7 and the rise of the machine empire that rules it.

A New Chapter in an Expanding Universe

Set during the height of the Oracle Empire, the story follows a younger version of Max, a fan-favorite character from the original series. Long before the events of the first book, Max begins his career as a Ronin—a genetically engineered human clone designed to maintain order in the brutal Machine City.

The new trailer offers a glimpse into the “war story” tone Mauro has promised for this installment. While the original HUXLEY felt like a classic hero’s journey, The Oracle is described as a darker, more serious exploration of a conspiracy that threatens to dismantle the AI-controlled empire from within.

“We approached The Oracle illustrations with the same storytelling and visual fidelity seen in AAA games and blockbuster film,” Mauro said in a recent statement. “This prequel story sets the stage for the events of the original graphic novel and marks the beginning of an epic two-part war story.”

The 160-page hardcover is not just a narrative expansion but a visual feast. To bring the intricate world of Fury-7 to life, Mauro collaborated with a “who’s who” of sci-fi industry talent, including:

  • Steve Chinhsuan Wang (Gears of War 5)
  • Nikolas Gekko (Halo Infinite, Destiny 2)
  • Syama Pedersen (Director of the acclaimed Astartes project)
